Homemade Applesauce

In a large pan add:

1 1/2 cups water
6 washed cored sliced apples (organic)

Simmer on low heat stirring occasionally and adding more water if needed. Be patient with this, it takes a little time.
When it gets to the apple sauce consistency add:
1 teaspoon cinnamon
pinch nutmeg
Optional: 1-2 tablespoons of maple syrup

Note: I don't peel the apples because the skin is loaded with nutrients and fiber. If the sauce is to chunky for your tastes let it cool a little and put it in the food processor to blend.
