Marinara Sauce



In a large pan or pot saute in about 1/4 cup of water:
1 chopped onion
2-3 chopped garlic cloves
1 chopped small sweet pepper any color
Optional:
1 chopped hot pepper
chopped mushrooms

Saute until the onions have softened adding more water as needed.

Add to the saute:
2 cans chopped tomatoes (organic)
1 can tomato paste
2-3 tablespoons of maple syrup

Simmer on low.
